The first tournament concluded with the sound of the French national anthem: Gwenael Lavigne/Stephanie Godet won clearly. A strong final with three German couples in it emerged out from 20 starting couples, coming from seven nations. Andreas Hoffmann/Isabel Krüger were able to win the Rumba and to reach the 2nd rank. The judgments for the other final places were equally clear.
