Due to the low number of entries, the championship was moved from the Scharrena to the Tanzsportzentrum Stuttgart-Feuerbach. It was a good decision. With an amazing performance throughout all four rounds, Thorsten Zirm / Sonja Schwarz took their third consecutive title of German Champion. With four second places, Thorsten Strauß / Alma Marit Herrmann were runners-up. The bronze medal went to Klaus Genterczewsky / Julioa Quinot, who finished third in four dances.
