49 couples opened the Ranking List Senior I Standard Sunday morning. 12 couples were given exemptions for the first round. Two of those couples without a star made their way into the final: Thorsten Zirm / Sonja Schwarz (Blau-Gold-Casino Darmstadt) outstandingly won by only dropping one first placing. The majority of the seven judges placed Klaus Genterczewsky / Julia Quinot (TSC Neuwied) second, followed by Thorsten Strauß / Alma Marit Herrmann (TSA im VfL Pinneberg). Victor Fischer / Alexandra (Gelb-Schwarz-Casino München) were one of the two couples dancing from the first round and finished fourth, followed by the second couple without a star, Maksim Tschernin / Carolin Scheithauer (Gelb-Schwarz-Casino München). Jörg Gutmann / Dr. Isabel Matthes (TC Rot-Weiss Casino Mainz) finished 6 ^th.
