18 couples competed in the WDSF World Open Standard tournament in Toronto. Simone Segatori/Annette Sudol put themselves at the top of the field and clearly won the tournament.
Marius-Andrei Balan/Nina Bezzubova finished second in the WDSF World Open Latin tournament. Beaten by a hair's width (one 1 was missing in Rumba), they had to defer to Andrey Kiselev/Anastasia Balaeva (Russia).
A double victory was achieved by Georg Bröker/Susanne Schantorra: They won the WDSF Open Senior tournaments in the age groups I and II.
