World Championship Senior I Standard

49 couples from 28 nations participated in this year's championship in Dresden. In a close duel, Tassilo and Sabine Lax competed with Stefano Bernardini and Stefania Martellini for the gold medal. With 3:2 decision, the couple from Italy finally won. At the end of the tournament, Tassilo and Sabine announced that they would change over to the DTV Professional Division.
