Full attention was drawn by the dance sport world to the capital of Austria, where the Vienna Dance Concourse took place with many World Ranking List events. High temperatures made the couples sweat a lot in the wonderful atmosphere of the ballroom inside the Vienna City Hall. Besides the unchangeable weather conditions, the organizers enabled a smooth competition weekend. The specialty of these competitions are, that every class is offered twice, therefore the results will be divided between the first and the second day.

First day:

In a strong field, Thorsten Zirm / Sonja Schwarz finished third in Senior I Standard. Victor Fischer / Alexandra Rehn finished 9 th in the semifinal. Alexander Hick / Petra-Alexander Leßmann finished 12 th in the semifinal of Senior II Standard. Wolfgang Walter / Ilse von Beyer were recalled to the final of Senior III Standard and finished fourth. Three more couples representing the DTV danced in that semifinal: Alexander Hick / Petra-Alexandra Leßmann (e.a. 7), Oliver Luthardt / Anne Hinz (9 th) and Wolfgang Koschier / Birgit Fehrmann-Koschier. Hans-Wolfgang and Angelika Scheuer represented Germany in the final of Senior IV Standard, in which they finished 5 th. In the semifinal of the competition were Joachim and Gisela Goetze (e.a. 8 th) and Uwe and Angela Heyn (12 th).

Marlin Hötting / Freia Schwertfeger danced in the final of Senior I Latin and finished 5 th. Patrick Niemann / Sandra Cancino finished 11 th and Florian Müller / Andrea Rhinow-Conrad finished 12 th in the semifinal. Harald and Anja Dormann were recalled into the final of Senior II Latin and finished sixth. Two more couples from Germany reached the semifinal round danced with 14 couples: Jörg and Alexandra Heberer (8 th) and Jürgen and Kathrin Rodewald (14 th.(

Second day:

In Senior IV Standard two couples danced in the semifinal: Hans-Wolfgang and Angelika Scheuer narrowly missed the final but finished on a shared 7th place. Joachim and Gisela Goetze finished 11 th. Wolfgang Walter / Ilse von Beyer could defend their fourth place in Senior III Standard, Alexander Hick / Petra-Alexandra Leßmann were next to the final, being placed 7 th. Wolfgang Koschier / Birgit Fehrmann-Koschier and Oliver Luthard / Anne HInz finished ex aequo on the 8 th place. Thorsten Zirm / Sonja Schwarz defended their third place from the day before in Senior I Standard, Victor Fischer / Alexandra Rehn moved up two ranks and finished 7 th. Horst Droste / Claudia Kahl-Kaminsky finished 9 th and Roland Tines / Heidrun Puskas 10 th.

Marlin Hötting / Freia Schwerfeger were again recalled into the final of Senior I Latin, which on that occasion was danced with 7 couples. They defended their placing from the day before and finished 5 th again. Senior II Latin saw Markus and Stephanie Grebe on the medal ranks, they were runners up. Harald and Anja Dormann moved up two ranks compared to the day before and finished fourth, same as Jörg and Alexandra Heberer, who also moved up to the ranks on the second competition day and finished sixth.
