Blue Ribbon for Denmark

A European Championship and a World Ranking List Latin tournament at the same day - this naturally has considerable effects on the list of participating couples of the World Ranking List tournament. Not only were Germany's top couple Tatarenko as well as the German Champions Balan/Bezzubova missing, but also four further couples from last year's final.

The lack of so many German couples made the final the "most international" one at the 40th Blue Ribbon: 5 nations were represented in the final round. Ilie Bardahan/Anastasia Bodnar, the only German couple, managed to take the fifth place. The Blue Ribbon went to Umberto Gaudino/Louise Heise from Denmark.
