dC gold medal for Stefano Bernardini / Stefania Martellini

At 12.30, 178 couples of Senior II Standard opened the various WDSF ranking list competitions to follow at the danceComp in the Historic Cityhall Wuppertal. At 21.45 six finalists were recalled to step on the floor via the red carpet and they danced the first final of the day. The gold medal by winning four dances, again went to Italy to Stefano Bernardini / Stefania Martellini, who defeated reigning world champions Alberto Belometti / Barbara Pini also from Italy. The bronze medal went to Vice World Champion Pierre Payen / Isabelle Reyjal. The places four to sixth remained in Germany: German Champions Gert Faustmann / Alexander Kley presented themselves agigely throughout nine hours and five rounds, which resulted in a third place in the Quickstep and four fourth places in the other dances. Bernd and Sandra Ketturkat lost two places compared to the year before and finished fifth. For the first time, Peter and Miriam Pfeiffer were recalled into the final of the danceComp and they finished sixth.
