The Open Forum traditionally takes place the day before the General Meeting of the WDSF. The delegates of member organizations have the opportunity to inform themselves about various topics of the agenda and to exchange views.

First on the agenda are the proposed changes to the statutes: the Athletes '/ Adjudicators' Code of Conduct, the Standards of Ethics and the Code of the WDSF Disciplinary Council.
WDSF-President Carlos Freitag promotes the World Games 2013 (Cali, Colombia) and 2017 (Wroclaw, Poland) and the Artistic World Games 2013 (Croatia) with video presentations. He also informed about the planning status of the World DanceSport Games in September 2013 in Kaohsiung (Taiwan).
WDSF Board Member Michael Eichert explained in detail the planned WDSF "registration system" and the introduction of ID cards for athletes. Furthermore and together with Sports Director Marco Sietas , he presents the completely revised version of the competition rules of the World Federation. Fabio Bosco presents the revised WDSF Technique Books, which will probably be available from early 2013.
The presentation of the enhancement of the WDSF website and the planned projects on social media rounded out the informative afternoon.
