In the Hisense Arena in Melbourne (Australia) some 5,000 spectators provided a great atmosphere for the 64 couples of the World Championships in the Latin American dances. The two German couples danced into the semifinal, where they were forced to terminate the competition. DTV sports director Michael Eichert together with the DTV coaches Oliver Wessel-Therhorn and Hans Galke took care for the couples in Melbourne. Eichert attested the two couples a very good performance. Timo Kulczak/Motshegetsi Mabuse were satisfied with the achievement of the 11th place. By contrast the incumbent German champions Jesper Birkehoj/Anna Kravchenko were very disappointed about their 12th place. (Photo: private)
