WDSF Sports for All Commisssion
DTV Vice President Heidi Estler has been elected Chair of the new WDSF Sports for All Commisssion.
Description of the Commission according to the WDSF Website:
"The most important aim of the Sports for All Commission is to
encourage and support the efforts and developments disseminating
the health and social benefits to be gained by all members of
society through regular physical activity. This goal can be
achieved through a cooperation via the IOC, National Olympic
Committees (NOCs), and national DanceSport federations.
The Sport for All Commission is promoting the Olympic ideal
that sport is a human right for all individuals regardless of race,
social class and sex. The movement encourages sports activities
that can be exercised by people of all ages, both sexes and
different social and economic conditions."
