Already at that time of the time, many people filled the spectator stands. 40 couples representing eight nations enjoyed the great atmosphere in the historic city hall. Francisco Javier Otamendi Fenandez / Lourdes Dominguez Guilera from Spain have started dancing in the Senior II age category this year and following their win at the WDSF Open in Vienna, the also won in Wuppertal. Andrea Tozzi / Isabella Galvan from Italy were runners up. The bronze medal went to Jean-Hugues Henneghien / Eun-Sook Scherf from Belgium. Two couples from Germany were recalled into the final: Achim Hobel / Kerstin Hahn from Porz finished fourth, followed by Rold and Iris Pernat from Saarlouis on the fifth place. The long trip for Hirofumi Sakamoto / Junko Sakamoto from Japan paid off: they were very happy about their sixth place.
