The 2300 spectators in the Wetzlarer Rittal Arena celebrated the six final couples of the IDSF World Championship Adult Standard with a standing ovation. Benedetto Ferruggia/Claudia Köhler won all five dances, thus defending their title which they had won for the first time the year before. The second German couple, Simone Segatori/Annette Sudol, came third on the podium. It was their best result at an international championship so far. 79 couples from 44 countries participated in total.
