World Championship Senior II Standard in Palma de Mallorca

Having won all five dances, Heinz-Josef and Aurelia Bickers are the new World Champions Senior II Standard. They presented themselves well-prepared and danced in a superior style in all seven rounds.
The second German couple to enter the final were Bernd Farwick and Petra Voosholz, who took the fifth place. In the view of fans and experts they had deserved a better place.
The tournament lasted more than 14 hours, consisting of 222 couples in total, 100 of which came from Germany.
Three German couples reached the semi final: 18. Bernhard and Sonja Fuss, 22.-23. Alexander Hick/Petra-Alexandra Lessmann, 24.-26. Nils and Anja Goral.
